The Beauty of Custom Restorations

Dental crowns and dental bridges are two types of restorations that improve your smile by correcting imperfections of the teeth. Whether protecting a worn or cracked tooth or replacing a missing tooth, dental crowns and dental bridges provide a convenient and lifelike improvement to your smile. Both dental crowns and dental bridges are designed for function, though modern materials have also made them highly aesthetic solutions. Our team combines their artistry and technical training to create custom dental crowns and bridges that fit naturally and blend beautifully with your existing teeth.

Dental Crowns Improve Tooth Function

Dental crowns cover over teeth that are fractured, cracked, worn, misshaped, and discolored. They are also used to restore dental implants, to form a dental bridge, and protect a tooth after root canal therapy. Dental crowns can restore the strength and durability of a damaged tooth long-term, helping to protect it from damage and retain its proper shape and function. Cemented in place, dental crowns require that a portion of your enamel be filed down to accommodate the crown comfortably. We will soon be acquiring CEREC® same-day dental crowns technology, which will enable us to mill and place dental crowns in a single appointment!

Patient's Experience with Dental Crowns

Benefits of Dental Crowns:
• Improve tooth appearance
• Cap a tooth after a root canal
• Rebuild a worn tooth
• Protect a damaged tooth
• Restore a discolored tooth

Dental Bridges Replace Lost Teeth

Dental bridges are made up of three or more dental crowns bonded together. A dental bridge spans over the gap left by a missing tooth. Secured to the adjacent teeth on either side, dental bridges improve chewing function to the area and help keep existing teeth from drifting out of place. Bonded securely to the two teeth surrounding the gap, dental bridges necessitate the removal of healthy tooth enamel in order to fit correctly. Once in place, dental bridges improve the look and function of the teeth. Dental bridges can be further stabilized with dental implants if a series of teeth are missing.

Benefits of Dental Bridges:
• Replace a missing tooth
• Keep teeth from shifting
• Restore chewing power
• Improve smile aesthetics
• Improve overall function
